The Moto X is finally here, will go live tomorrow exclusively on Flipkart for a starting price of Rs. 23,999. The X with the Wooden back panel will cost extra – it is priced at Rs. 25,999. The single SIM handset will be available in 5 different colors and it will not be a midnight launch.
The Moto G was priced just right but this time the Moto X though it comes with better hardware and some unique features does not fall under the Rs. 20k barrier. Flipkart is offering EMI option as over 20K is a big amount for many consumers.
I am not sure yet, but I don’t think the Moto X will create the same kind of craze that we had seen with the Moto G, it is just the price that many consumers can simply not afford or not comfortable moving ahead with. Moto G was a different case, many users got it just for the price tag.
The X handset is powered by 1.7GHz dual core processor, it runs on Android 4.4 with 2GB RAM and 16/32Gb storage. The 4.7 inch AMOLED screen is with 1280 x 720p resolution + with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Other features are 10MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Battery is 2200 mAh.
Flipkart today tweeted the price – stating that the Moto X will be launched tomorrow with a price tag of Rs. 23,999. The Wood Back panel will cost an extra Rs. 2,000. As per Flipkart’s launch day offer with EMI options users will get Rs. 1,000 as cash back, plus 70% off on handset flip cover / cases and 10 lucky customers will get 100% cash back. Only Black and White versions with 16GB storage will be available tomorrow, others on pre-orders… Stay tuned.
