Motorola today launched the Moto M handset in Indian markets. This handset was initially launched in China for RMB 1999 and now it will be available in India for Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 17,999. Motorola Moto M is using Helio P15 chipset.

Other features are a 16MP camera on the back, 8MP camera on the front, 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. The Moto M also comes with a finger print sensor. Battery life should be decent with a 3050 mAh built in battery that the M houses.
The Moto M will be available on Flipkart for Rs. 15,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM and Rs. 17,999 with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. First sale will begin from 14th December 11:59 PM onwards.
Is there any type of screen protection providers means like Gorilla glass screen. I did not find it in specifications. Please clarify.
If it is not mentioned then there will not be any protection.
Motor G4 plus is there. Why go for this absurd phone. Useless launch, just to put one more in armory.
Fatal deficiency in phone is sub sized battery..at least 4000 mAh battery would have made it very desirable. Also instead of Mediatek SOC Moto should have put in super efficient 14 NM SD 625 . Just to save $5-10 Cost diff. Moto uses a sub par SOC not a smart move at all. Moto is not being very street smart in it’s product line vis a vis Indian market.
It’s not Motorola, lenovo use only logo of Motorola.
Lenovo is manufacturing Moto M, E, X and C series. Whereas Motorola will only make Moto G and Z series.
Considering Amoled 1080p screen it’s a good product or atleast better then Samsung J series. P15 is not so bad, it does ok in gaming with medium graphics setting. Motorola may have cut corners in camera department which is not good.
Its not amoled screen, just IPS 1080p. cant see much in daylight/ sunlight, mediocre screen, low battery, price is higher than redmi series, wait for drop in prices.
It has IPS LCD for Indian market.
What’s the screen type?
In Flipkart specs it’s mentioned as IPS LCD?
specs look good, 4 GB ram/ 64 GB internal. I hope it has a good camera. Battery 3050 mah is a disappointment, should have given 3500 mah at least. If anyone bought it, please write the pros and cons ( after use), thanks.
Helio P15 chipset is the drawback, otherwise ok.
So hilarious to see that strong MNCs and brands like Motorola are moving towards MTK. While on the other hand Chinese companies like Xiomi, are moving ahead towards SD :)) ?
Another stupid phone with hybrid slot.
Disappointed with Motorola’s SOC choice!!
Gogi ji please review this one. After the review will take decision.
I saw in few videos that the Camera is not good even the G4 Plus is good it seems. So Gogi will you be reviewing this phone soon? plz share whether it is worth buying or can wait for something else. I am looking for a phone within 20K. OP 3T is good but 10K higher. 🙂
OP3 is 7k higher. You should go for that.
If you are ok with older SOC u cn take a look at Lenovo Vibe X3. It has SD808.
Or else RN3 n Mi Max.
Im using RN3. Works great. Battery is amazing. Camera is Ok.
You can try Mi5 if u r ok with limited storage.
Redmi note 3 one stop solution camera & ram management are two not-so-good areas, but otherwise, its robust.
Gogi bro,
Flipkart showing 3 GB RAM
Flipkart is also showing 4gb model.
Is the screen AMOLED or LCD? In flipkart its shown as IPS LCD..
And how willl be the gaming performance on P15?
Is it AMOLED display or not ?
