Moto G 3rd Gen now getting Android Marshmallow update

Motorola had already confirmed that several models will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and their last tweet has confirmed that the update has finally been rolled out on Moto G 3rd Gen handset in India. The update is being rolled out via OTA on Moto G 3rd Gen XT 1550.

Moto G 3rd Gen users might have already got the notification and in case if you haven’t you will need to wait for few more days / weeks as the roll-out happen in a phased manner. This is an OTA – over the air update, you will need to download the files that will be installed automatically. Make sure to use a good net connection.

The Moto G 3rd Gen is snapdragon 410 quad core powered. It is water resistant and sports a 5 inch screen with gorilla glass 3 protection and supporting 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Previously running Lollipop, this handset just got the Marshmallow update.

Moto G 3rd Gen marshmallow update

This dual SIM smartphone comes with 4G LTE support. There is 13MP primary camera and 5MPsecondary camera. Moto G 3rd gen houses a 2470 mAh battery. It is available for ₹12,999.

    My phone now has some touch issues now after the update yesterday. And also it gets heated up now with no excessive use.

    I think Motorola wrong mentioned its pages that moto g3 is getting marshmallow update because no one got it. But its moto x play that is rolling out marshmallow OTA in india.

      I also got it today. Motorola is rolling out marshmallow update for moto x play in Brazil and India today. Its official not soak test. ?

    Any direct link to the Marshmallow update?? Is it possible to install this update on the Moto G 1st Gen by downloading the entire file and flashing it??

    Till now there is no update for moto e2 – 3g version from version 5.0.

    its a pricy handset, i think Moto G Turbo with the price around 11 thousand could have done justice but 13 thousand for the basic model is just not acceptable.
