If you may recall Google had announced the Android One smartphone that will come loaded with rich features at a very low price tag ($100). Now Micromax and Karbonn are gearing up to launch the Android One in India, early next month.

As per the report by Economic Times, the Karbonn / Micromax may price it higher than $100 probably between Rs. 7K to Rs. 10K. Google may also launch these devices later on at affordable range depending on the response in India, but not sure when that will happen. For now Micromax / Karbonn will enter the market with Android One.

Android One is basically a new standard (rich hardware / software) that will be followed to keep the price to as low as possible. Micromax has also posted an image on Facebook with tagline – CAN these lines be merged with – 4 days to go. So next week we could see the launch by Micromax.

The Android One is dual SIM sporting a 4.5 inch screen, comes with FM radio and SD card support. We will know the full Android One specifications once the handset is launched. Stay Tuned.
