Micromax has launched the A34 a single core handset clocked at 1GHz with dual SIM support for Rs. 4,399. This low cost handset sails on the Gingerbread OS and supports the 2G network only.

The Micromax A34 comes with a TFT screen of 4 inches with HVGA resolution (480×320 pixels) with 262K colours. Multi touch is supported (I guess it’s 2 point). This handset runs on Android 2.3.5 with 1GHz single core processor.

The handset is 12.25mm thick and weight is just 85grams. There is 256MB RAM and 165MB internal storage. Micro SD card of up to 32GB is supported. There is a single camera of 2MP resolution placed on the rear side with 8x digital zoom and flash support.

Other features are 2G (GPRS class 12), Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.0, micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. The media player supports MP4, AVI and 3GP video formats and MP3, WAV audio formats. There is built in FM radio too for live entertainment.

Micromax A34 comes with light and G-sensor and gets power from a 1350 mAh Li-ion battery. On a full charge you can get a talk-time of up to 4 hours and standby time of up to 120 hours.
