At the launched event in China today, Xiaomi launched Mi Note 2, Mi VR and a concept phone called the Mi MIX. The MIX sports a 6.4 inch screen with edgeless display – 91.3% screen to body ratio. This Smartphone however comes with a premium price tag starting from RMB 3499.
Mi MIX features and specifications
The Mi MIX is powered by 2.35GHz qualcomm snapdragon 821 64 bit quad core processor. This Smartphone is packed inside a full ceramic body. Touch screen is 6.4 inches supporting 2040 x 1080 pixels resolution (this is custom made).
If you look at the front screen you will not notice the camera, sensors and the incall speaker. In fact the Mi MIX is using a new technology that helps user listen to calls without earpiece, as for the front camera it has been shifted at the bottom and instead of proximity sensor they are using ultrasonic proximity sensor.
MIUI runs the show with 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 256GB ROM. On the back there is a 16MP PDFA camera with flash and front camera can shoot in 5MP resolution. Handset can shoot 4K videos. Other features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC. There is a finger print sensor too on the back below the camera.
Mi MIX houses a 4400 mAh non-removable battery with quick charge 3.0 support.

The MIX will be available in two options with 4GB / 128GB for RMB 3499 (Approx Rs. 34,500) and the special limited edition Mi MIX 18K gold version with 6GB RAM and 256GB ROM comes for RMB 3999 (Approx Rs. 39,400).
