Lenovo has launched the Vibe X2 in India. It is the world’s first layered smartphone and will be available exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 19,999. It is a dual SIM handset with 4G LTE support.

It’s Layered designed – there are there 3 gradient layers (as seen in the image below). The handset looks unique and is eye catchy. It supports dual SIM (nano + micro) and runs KitKat 4.4.x with Vibe 2.0 UI. The Lenovo Vibe X2 is powered by octa core processor clocked at 2GHz. It is with the MediaTek MT6595M chipset with PowerVR G6200 GPU.

The IPS LCD touch screen is 5 inches supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Vibe X2 is light weight at 120 grams and is 7.3mm thick. There is 2GB on-board RAM and 32GB internal storage space. There is no micro SD card slot.

The X2 comes with 13MP rear AF camera with flash and a 5MP on the front. Rear camera can shoot FHD videos at 30fps. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. There is a non-removable battery of 2300 mAh capacity with talk time of up to 19 hours. It will be competing with the Huawei Honor 6 smartphone that is also selling for the same price.

The Lenovo Vibe X2 is priced at Rs. 19,999 coming soon on Flipkart.

  1. all is good except, no MSD slot :(. They could hv given 16GB flash builtin, added MSD slot and reduced the price by 1k less.

  4. Gogi, Something is amiss here. On zauba the import price for this model is being shown as 21,105. And there are several shipments for this model all with the same price, So how can they be selling at 20K, making loss not sure what the problem is over here but for this price the handset is really really worth it, better than the Huawei i’d say.

  5. Vibe X2 is answer to Xiaomi Mi4 Actually quite clever..with ₹ 1999 battery back..it will become 4050 mAh. Battery..even optional speaker back is reputed to give amazing sound..This is new Lenovo very innovative.

  7. this soc score more than 48000 score on aututu benchmark, its very strange no Indian company in hurry to launch handsets based on this soc.

  8. Honor 6 is better in every way ram 3 gb except it is a single sim if huwaei could have launched dual sim variant..

  9. 1st its 8 core made phone,2nd while in 3g we are getting 3hour+ standby and 4G how much stand by the battery will give to us even its non removal battery ? 3rd Memory card blah ?
