Reports suggest that the upcoming OnePlus Nord 3 smartphone could actually be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station recently leaked that the OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition is set to launch in China in March 2023, and will be launched globally as the OnePlus Nord 3. This means that the new smartphone will not be part of the OnePlus 11 series.

The OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition is expected to have mid-range specs, unlike the flagship series. It is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a resolution of 1.5K. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, coupled with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone will run on Color OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box, and will have a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

In terms of camera, the primary rear camera is expected to be a 64MP OmniVision OV64M primary sensor with OIS, along with an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The smartphone will also feature a punch-hole display on the front, which will house a 16MP camera.

If the OnePlus Nord 3 is launched in India, it is expected to come with Oxygen OS 13 instead of Color OS 13. Currently, the OnePlus 11 5G is the company’s premium offering, with a starting price of Rs 56,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage variant, while the OnePlus 11R 5G costs Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage variant.
