Idea Cellular has now launched a 3.5 inch smartphone the Idea Aurus 2 that is powered by a 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM and 3.2 MP camera. The handset runs on the Jelly bean 4.1 OS and is priced at Rs. 6,490.

The Idea Aurus 2 shows off a 3.5 inch screen with a resolution of 480×320 pixels, this is too less as compared to what users want. The RAM is 512MB and the internal storage is 4GB. There is micro SD slot that can house another 32GB card.

The handset is powered by a 1GHz processor and since the cores are not mentioned we can assume it to be with a single core processor. The key feature is the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean OS) that sails on this handset.

If one may recall, Idea cellular had initially launched the Idea Aurus. The Aurus 2 is the successor to its predecessor. The Aurus 2 comes with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB and 3.5mm jack. This handset also comes with the Idea 3G pack offer plus free TV subscription for 3 months.

The Alcatel One Touch Glory 2T in fact comes with the same specifications and is priced at Rs. 4,199. It does not make sense putting the price of Aurus 2 at Rs. 6,490 with 3G offers. It’s not a good idea sirji!
