HTC ChaCha QWERTY mobile phone feature and price in India

HTC ChaCha is a new Android based smartphone launched in India by HTC Corporation. The HTC ChaCha is a 3G phone that features a QWERTY keypad and runs on the Google Android OS. The main highlight of ChaCha phone is the one touch Facebook access to share anything instantly, touch & type features and a 5 megapixel camera.

HTC ChaCha features

This phone supports 3G and Wi-Fi and comes with 2 camera. The primary camera is of resolution 5 megapixel with LED flash support and auto focus. The secondary camera is a VGA camera which makes video calling possible. Touch and type feature that many new phones are coming up with is incorporated in this HTC ChaCha phone. The touch screen TFT display is of size 2.6 inches and supports resolution of 480×320 pixels. Touch feature along with QWERTY keypad makes typing faster and fun.

You can stay in touch with your friends using Facebook, with one touch you can update the status message, share anything and chat on Facebook.  Facebook conversation and messages appear as text messages which are easier to read.  Take photos share on Facebook or share the song you are listening to.

The ChaCha houses an 800 MHz processors with 512 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. MicroSD card up to 32 GB is supported. The ChaCha handset also features an internal GPS antenna. Once the phone boots up, HTC Sense user interface takes over.

Other features are Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, 3.5mm audio jack, EDGE, GPRS, MicroUSB 2.0, Ambient light sensor, G-Sensor, Proximity sensor and multi format music player.

The HTC ChaCha comes with a powerful 1250 mAh Li-ion battery that gives a standby time of 640 hours on 3G networks, 400 hours on 2G networks and talktime of 6.6 hours on 3G networks and 7.5 hours on 2G networks.

HTC ChaCha is priced at Rs. 14,499 and will be available at all authorized HTC resellers in India.

TATA DOCOMO has joined hands with HTC to launch the ChaCha in India. As per their scheme 3GB of free data over the 3G network valid for 90 days will be provided for TATA DOCOMO 3G prepaid customers. Post-paid customers can also avail 1GB of free 3G usage every month valid for 90 days. All the TATA DOCOMO 3G customers will also get free mobile TV viewing of up to 3 hours including data access charges valid for 90 days.
