  3. As per many reviews, MiA1 has better rear camera in low light condition but in good light condition both 7x and A1 are equally good. The front camera on 7x is better than MiA1.

    1. I watched lot of videos…. And they all say 7x gives better quality images and the bokeh effect is better bcoz it uses depth sensor… Whereas mi a1 camera can shoot 4k , better performance in low light, and better saturation and aperture too…and 2x zoom is good too…. And 7x do offer bokeh effect front camera ?and sometimes it works well.
Well tomorrow m gonna purchase honor 7x, coz of display and camera and build too… These both smartphones are great, it was too hard for me to choose one, so 7x looks futuristic and mi a1 look little old..

    1. It was a 3g high speed data gimmick (had to many flaws) , better use Skype or whatsapp these are made for video calls

  5. So the next best thing coming up in couple of months will be Redmi note 5…with better processor and dual cam. hold your horses.

    1. And thw whole world knows Redmi cam sucks ☺️ Note 5 or 6 or whatever cam will be shit even after waiting of 3-4 months haath me thullu hi aayega , Honor has beaten everytime mi in camera price ratio , Note 5 may come with better processor but no use of that , no fast charge and no longer android updates , so waiting for Redmi launch is expecting a pxxp , will grab 7x ?

    2. dude,problem is not in RN4 hardware.
its a software optimisation issue. you need to root RN4, enable camera two api, and install Google camera app available on xda forum for RN4.

  7. I just don’t like the chipset and gpu combo, at this price range, sd 625 is a ideal choice for gamers

    1. Huawei uses their own inbuilt kirin processors most of the time. This particular processor has been built in 16 nm node and so the battery life will be similar to the SD 625.

Let’s not consider Qualcomm to be the best in whatever they do. They are the ones who have us sd810 and sd615.

  8. The only con here is the kirin processor. They don’t get proper custom roms. The build quality I’ve heard is as good as the honor 8 pro.

  9. According to a review.

Mi A1 is better than 7x since it has
4K recording , USB Type C port , Fast Charging
All Sensors , And Guaranteed OS updates.

  10. Please help…
So now i have to choose between 7x and mi A1…
Not big fan of mi, but i read reviews of users and they are complaining about camera (its not that great) and network issue…
Whereas i saw comparison videos of camera’s of both…. 7x is clear winner in camera,
7x offers tremendous 18:9 display and dual camera which are excellent…
I have asus ZF2 and the aspect ratio is nearly same on A1 and my old phone…but the display is the thing which make difference between the choice…
So both smartphones doesn’t support fast charging? And design is better of 7x? And 7x would look awesome in black color, what you say?… For which smartphone i should really go?

    1. 7x design looks young… But mi a1 design from front look little old… And second which phone have better audio output? And which phone come with dual sim + sd card… Coz I don’t want to sacrifice my sd card…. And just tell me… Is xiaomi mi a1’s usb type C charging is sufficient? I mean quick or honor 7x’s charging ?…
And which smartphone can click better portrait pictures….

      1. Bro close ur eyes & Buy Mi A1.. Because its has very powerful sound output via headphones & external speaker.. I am using seinheiser CX275s on this phone..this combo gives u will be delightful i am sure u haven’t heard sound output before any phone but camera is ok ok type.. Its a 15k phone so it gives more than its price range

      2. My brother is using Honor 8 pro but i didn’t like its sound output via headphones-its sound like 5k phones even company didn’t provide any equaliser for its default or any third party music apps-music equaliser is not available for thats 30k phone… But camera is awesome

        1. Rohit25785 you’re telling that MiA1 has superb sound quality? Just listen to nubia phone audio output through headphone, you will feel the difference. Right now nubia has the best audio output among the chinese phones but speaker output sucks in it. I’ve heard the music quality of MiA1 it’s good compared to other Mi phones but not that good.

        2. There are lots of third-party equalizer apps. What is more disappointing is the screen quality. Badly oversaturated. Yes you can change color temperature settings but something like the Honor 6x(which I owned before I got Mi A1) had an awesome screen with perfect colors out of the box. It’s the only display I didn’t even have to calibrate to get it right. Watching videos on that phone felt like looking through a window. Sad that Huawei bowed to popular demand for highly saturated displays instead of natural colors.

          1. Honor 6x has better battery life(especially standby time is amazing) but Mi A1 charges more quickly and also you can charge it with power banks without any change(with Honor 6x, it will discharge more quickly if charged with a power bank)

    2. A1 has fast charging .
A1 has better camera than 7x.

      A1 is better than 7x.
but if are not a fan of Mi and Stock Os than buy 7x.

      1. Mi a1 doesn’t have any form of fast charging. It just charges fast due to the powerful charger given.

        Don’t spread rumors.

        1. The photos look better in terms of color reproduction noise control etc even in Honor 6x. But Mi A1 captures more detail

    3. @milan, if audio quality is your main requirement stay away from honor phones as they suck when it comes to audio output through headphone jack. I have listened to honor 6x and 9i and both have pathetic audio through headphone, speaker output is manageable.

      1. Not pathetic at all, just not very loud. With decent earphones and equalizers you get good output. The sound clarity on Honor 6x is actually better than Mi A1, just that the volume is low.

        1. I actually tried it with good in-ear earphones sennheiser cx180 and sony xb series but sound quality was just average, maybe it’s because I’m used to the sound quality of nubia phones so I might feel that it is mediocre.

    4. Practically Mi A1 is better. Has a gyroscope and IR blaster, has a camera that captures the greatest amount of detail in this price range(though noise levels are a bit high and colors are dull – improvements all round if you use Snapdragon or Cyanogen camera app) charges up in a hour 45 minutes, has stock Android with Snapdragon processor(so bloatfree and widest app support) and most of the so-called features of skinned ROMs can be got through third-party apps with a smaller footprint) Sound output is loud and decent soundstage but feels muddy, good for Hip hop bad for instrumental music and such(onboard equalizer very minimal, use third-party apps) Also USB C port(easier to plug in in the dark) Also 5 ghz Wifi band support. Also faster updates. Also unusually sensitive microphone(they should start taking about that spec in reviews!)

On the minus side looks old and feels really chunky in the hand, undersized screen(not even 5.5 inches more like 5.3 inches + black border) can’t turn off navigation light buttons(I had to put a tape over them) and screen quality is meh even after calibration

With the Honor 7x, moment to moment you will feel more pampered. But the Mi A1 gives better value.

      1. Another minor point. Mi phones in general respond better to being charged with a third party charger like a powerbank unlike Honor phones which lose battery juice more quickly when you don’t use the dedicated charger that comes with the device

  11. Honor nailed it but little disappointed about 64 GB version…..it should be priced @ 14999rs which will be very good VFM

  12. When compared to Mi A1

    Pros:
    1. 18:9
    2. 5.93”
    3. FULL HD+
    4. Front 8MP cam
    5. DTS audio
    6. Higher amp battery

    Cons:
    1. ₹3,000 difference for 64GB variant.
    2. Display edges are not curved
    3. Still using old Micro usb port
    4. No fast charging support (as per gsmarena)
    5. No Gyro
    6. No IR
    7. Rear 12/2mp only
    8. No optical zoom
    9. Only full hd recording

Performance! Gogi is to rescue ??

    1. Good comparison Nishad.
2 things honor should had given
      1.Gyro and 2.Fast Charging.
Lets wait for reviews and the upcoming Redmi 5 launch(Dec 7).

  13. why do phone companies still release with Android N??
what about Oreo.. or they will only make Oreo phones when Android P comes out..

    1. Because any new phones released with Oreo should support Project Treble, which is lot of work for making easy money. So they will stick with nougat and provide update. Also when they give Oreo they can claim they have given OS upgrade and stop providing next upgrades.

  14. good pricing for 32gb model as I predicted…but 64 gb model feels bit expensive. if you are not much in gaming then one can go buy for 32 gb model and invest in 128gb memory card for 3k.

  15. I just don’t like the chipset and gpu combo, at this price range, sd 625 is a ideal choice for gamers

    1. Huawei uses their own inbuilt kirin processors most of the time. This particular processor has been built in 16 nm node and so the battery life will be similar to the SD 625.
