  5. Phone is awesome definitely Redmi note 5 pro killer but design is not as per asus standard ,no dual volte, even no project treble support….

  6. Didn’t notice about words “same specs”.. chalta hai.. it happens with some people..

  7. But what is the use? Instead of one phone disappearing quickly in flash sales we will now have 2 phones.

Instead of this, Asus could have gone the royal route. They could have launched a oonche log oonchi pasand phone at 21,000 rs with Snapdragon 636, 5000 mah battery, 6 gb ram, 128 gb rom, dedicated micro sd slot and 2 sims with dual volte support, oled screen, ip68 water resistance and 15 w fast charging through a usb c port(which can be changed to regular charging in the software settings to conserve battery a la Samsung) dual camera at the back with a f1. 7 aperture on the primary sensor and EIS even at 4k, and decently loud dual speakers. They could also have used high quality flash storage for fast internal storage speeds which improves and maintains performance over a longer time. Finally they could have promised security updates every two months for two years including Android P by 2018 end and Android Q by 2019 end

Net result a phone whose price ensures it will not get surrounded by the budget flies and quickly disappear in flash sales and offers everyone else a solid midrange phone you can happily hold on to for 18-24 months

Instead we get this compromise phone with its micro usb slot and cardboard sound box designed to entertain small children in Kapil Sharma’s village. This is what happens when the market starts caring too much about value for money rather than actual value

      1. Use your brain. If you can launch a basic phone with a given processor at 11k why not a phone with all features at 21k.

What next? Will Micromax launch a Snapdragon 660 processor device at 9 k with a pin charger, qHD screen and not one but two cardboard toys? Will they also include some Bhel Puri in the box to really please the village urchins buying this phone?

This sort of thing was okay for the old Mediatek processors and even the 28nm Snapdragon processors. But now we have quality midrange processors built to last. We should be making fully featured phones with them worth holding on to for two years

  8. gogi bhai isme Zenui install kar sakte hain kya ???
agar ha to kaha se ??? playstore par to shayad nahi hai asus ka latest official zenui…

        1. i was looking for official & latest zenui launcher on this device, not the fake launchers available on playstore

  9. I expected better design from asus due to its past track record. Still good for its price.

  10. Gogi Pls confirm about native video call support ( VILTE ) also LTE B5 ( 850 MHZ ) Band support

      1. None of them give clear video calling as Jio native HD video calling quality….even on fast net….if used then u might have known, so native Vilte option is must, all Xiaomi phones supports it…

    1. Why can we ignore bokeh effect that’s the nice thing about this handset and even it has the face unlock also guys.

  11. According to AndroidCentral, the camera sucks!

Could be software issue so later it might improve……so then RN5 Pro camera can also be improved…

Great effort by ASUS but still Xiaomi is ahead!

    1. Killed note 5 but not note 5 pro. But people can buy this one as an alternative to rn5 pro.

  12. Xiaomi mulling to reduce 1000 rs increased last month to retain in indian.g reat launch asus. 10% debit card discount will be booster

  13. Xiaomi, Moto and now Asus launching phones without dual Volte! Oppo F7 is afforadable dual VoLTE phone! How are we going to use Jio with Airtel, w/o dual VoLTE?

  14. Great come back by Asus. Their handset were always good but last 2 years they did price their handset correctly allowing Xiaomi took the advantage. This time they not only addressed the price issue but also added features that Xiaomi fans have been asking for. Stock Android will fly on SD636 smoother then RN5P…and they have promised next two Android versions they P & Q. also has duel Volte and duel sim plus micro SD and a larger battery with fast charging. Also dedicated DAC for music lovers. This is what I was expecting from MI A2 which is launching on 25th.
Now it’s going to be camera the deciding factor.

  15. The 15k variant is a good option only if it has Electronic Image Stabilization
Gogi any update on EIS in the top variant with improved cameras ?

  16. Was expecting Asus Zenfone 5 lite nd Zenfone 5 launch but disappointed…Gogi sir any idea abt date?

  17. I think this is one of the best launch till today this year from asus . snapdragon processor ,FHD+ display, 5000MAH baytery, Dual rear cameras ,fast charging, almost all sensors @very very decent pricing .What else can we expect from Asus.Since giving pure android there is a guarantee of getting at least android p update . Well done Asus.

  18. Asus shocked me with pricing. Hope this gets good support from custom rom developers.

Gogi is unlocking boot-loader in this easy?

    1. There is no such option, this is pure Android, so pure that hardly anything has been touched.

  19. I liked Redmi devices. But MiUi made me to reconsider this decision.

I know how fluid is Asus. Asus is going to be the No.1 seller in 2018 and it will beat Mi if more models come in budget range.

  20. Asus nailed it with pricing.!! Great Job by Asus.! Waiting for full review Sir, Thanks a lot.

  21. same specs but in medium battery and small size 5.5″.. why nobody is releasing now days

    1. I think you are searching Intex, Lava, Micromax Mobiles…Go & get them Before they stock out in off line yes off line flash sales.

  22. What is ram type ddr3 or ddr4? Android one or not? What is camera sensor size? What will be bootloader unlock status? Is it sunlight assertive display or not? does it have 2.5d front glass? how different is 6gb model from other models? when 6gb model will be available?

    1. Thoda thand rakh na, aa raha hai na full review, abhi nigal lega kya sari haddi?

      1. le aa gaya tera review and still jo pucha usme se adha bhi pata nahi ya bola nahi review ab bol

  23. wow.. didn’t expect such pricing & specs from ASUS… having the great brand value & great quality products of ASUS, this phone will definetely shake the market for sure.. the true competitor for honor & xiaomi… with this it is crystal clear that asus is gonna launch the other models with disruptive prices.. in coming days.. welldone ASUS.

  24. @Gogi,
Please check that support dual 4G that means can 4G work in both the sim at the same time ??And also provide us the 4G bands it will work??These things haven’t been cleared nor in the launch event, nor in any reviews or any news websites…

        1. I repeat, (not opinion based) VoLTE works on both SIM, but at a time you can either enable VoLTE on SIM 1 or SIM 2.

  25. Phone is awesome definitely Redmi note 5 pro killer but design is not as per asus standard ,no dual volte, even no project treble support….

  26. Gogi, pls Check the sound quality through headphones also, because it seems it will become a very popular phone this year, we are all eagerly waiting for your blockbuster review, thanks in advance
