Apple today launched the Apple iPad Pro a 12.9 inch tablet with retina display and powered by Apple’s A9X chipset for $799 (onwards). Another unique thing about the iPad Pro is that it comes with a Apple pencil i.e. a stylus accessory.

This iPad tablet is 6.9mm thick and comes packed with 4 speakers. The company also unveiled a smart keyboard that works with the iPad Pro. There are two optional accessories the Smart Keyboard and the Apple pencil. The pencil is not that cheap it will cost you $99 and the keyboard is priced at $169.

This tablet is using the A9X processor that as per the company is 1.8 times faster than its predecessors and 80% faster than portable PC’s. Weight with battery is approx 712 grams and thickness is 6.9mm. Screen as mentioned before is 12.9 inches supporting 2732 x 2048 pixel resolution.

Key features are 8MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4x speakers that changes balance depending on how you are holding the tab and touch ID finger print scanner.

Apple pencil

The 32GB Apple iPad Pro is priced at $799 and the 128GB version is priced at $949. The LTE version will be priced at $1079 with 128GB storage.

  1. I guess with such large12 inch size…apple is targeting windows laptop users. personally I feel 12 inch is too large to carry and handle it.

  2. At least Apple are moving in the right direction. They are trying to make their devices more productive while Android O.E.Ms are going in the opposite direction, where utility is being sacrificed for looks. Since iOS now has MS Office, you can at least get basic office work done on the iPad, especially with the keyboard and stylus. For those whose needs are very simple, this ipad can be a one-stop computer. The cost is still ridiculously high and a lot of functionality is missing but at least they’re moving in the correct direction. Android devices on the other hand and Android itself are getting more fashion-conscious and less and less productive.
