Gaming monitors are getting faster every year, and Acer has now taken things to another level. The company has introduced the Predator XB253Q U1, its first gaming monitor capable of reaching a massive 1000Hz refresh rate at Full HD resolution.
The monitor was announced along with several new Predator, Nitro, and ProDesigner displays aimed at gamers, esports players, and content creators.
Refresh rate tells you how many times the display can update the image every second. A normal 60Hz monitor refreshes 60 times per second, while the new Acer Predator can refresh up to 1,000 times per second.
For competitive gaming, a higher refresh rate can make fast movements look much smoother while also providing quicker visual feedback. This can be especially useful in fast games such as shooters and racing titles.

What Makes the Predator XB253Q U1 Different
The Predator XB253Q U1 comes with a 24.5-inch IPS display and has been designed mainly for competitive and esports gaming.

Acer Also Announced Several Other Gaming Monitors
The Predator XB253Q U1 is only one part of Acer’s latest monitor lineup. The company has also introduced new models under its Predator, Nitro, and ProDesigner series.
The Predator X32 V3 features a 31.5-inch QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel. This five-layer panel structure is designed to improve brightness while also increasing the lifespan of the display.
It offers UHD resolution with a 180Hz refresh rate and comes with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification for deeper blacks and better colour reproduction.
The Predator XB273K V7 is a 27-inch gaming monitor that can switch between high resolution and very high refresh rates.
It normally runs at UHD resolution at 160Hz, but Acer’s Dynamic Frequency and Resolution or DFR technology allows users to switch to Full HD and increase the refresh rate to as high as 500Hz.
Basically, DFR allows gamers to choose between better image quality and faster refresh rates depending on the game they are playing.
Under the Nitro series, the Acer Nitro XV275X P offers 5K resolution, 2304-zone Mini LED backlighting, and VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification.
Using DFR, the monitor can run at 5K at 165Hz or switch to QHD at up to 330Hz. It also comes with a 90W USB Type-C port and a KVM switch, making it easier to use multiple connected devices with the same keyboard and mouse.
The curved 34-inch Acer Nitro XZ340CKR P offers WUHD resolution at 180Hz. With DFR enabled, users can switch to WFHD resolution and increase the refresh rate to as high as 360Hz.
Acer has also introduced the Nitro XV275U Z2 and Nitro XV270U Z3. Both monitors support tri-mode DFR, allowing users to switch between QHD, FHD, and HD resolutions depending on whether they prefer better image quality or higher speed.
Response times can go as low as 0.5ms.
For professional users, there is the Acer ProDesigner PE270X P. This 27-inch monitor offers 5K resolution, Delta E below 1 colour accuracy, and a 2304-zone Mini LED backlight.
It is mainly aimed at photographers, video editors, designers, and other creators who need accurate colours and high resolution.

The Acer Predator XB253Q U1 starts at USD 1,099.99 and is expected to become available in Q1 2027.
The Predator X32 V3 starts at USD 899.99, while the Predator XB273K V7 starts at USD 449.99 and is expected to arrive in Q4 2026.
