1. A 12.2-inch Screen for Reading and Videos
The 12.2-inch IPS panel has a resolution of 2400 × 1600 pixels. That gives it a 3:2 aspect ratio, with more vertical room than a 16:9 screen for reading a document or browsing a web page in landscape orientation.
A 90Hz refresh rate is another useful addition for scrolling through pages and navigating the interface. For entertainment, the tablet pairs its large display with four PureVoice stereo speakers. The screen size is the main attraction for anyone who finds a phone too cramped for textbooks, presentations or longer videos.
2. 5G Connectivity Away from Wi-Fi
Built-in 5G connectivity lets the Iconia Tab 12 get online through a mobile connection rather than needing a phone hotspot. You can access cloud documents, join an online class or stream a video while away from your home or office Wi-Fi.
It also supports dual-band Wi-Fi, so mobile data does not have to be the default connection indoors. For people moving between college, home and work, having both connection options is a practical part of the tablet’s design.
3. 8GB RAM and Expandable Storage
The tablet uses a MediaTek MT8755 octa-core processor, with two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. It comes with 8GB RAM and runs Android 16. Acer positions this configuration for everyday apps, browsing, learning and routine multitasking.
Storage options are 128GB and 256GB, with microSD expansion for additional files. That is useful for keeping downloaded lectures, PDFs, photos and videos on the tablet instead of relying entirely on cloud storage.
4. Keyboard and Stylus Support
A keyboard flip cover with docking support gives the Iconia Tab 12 a desk-friendly setup for typing assignments, longer emails and documents. Stylus support adds another input option for handwritten notes and marking up study material.
Acer offers different accessory bundles, including versions with a stylus and versions with both a stylus and keyboard. Keyboard and stylus support does not mean both accessories are included with every variant. The bundle you select determines what comes in the box.
5. An 8MP Front Camera for Video Calls
An 8MP front camera handles video calls and online meetings. Combined with the large display, it gives you room to see participants and shared material without having to hold a phone throughout a session. The keyboard cover can also serve as a stand for a desk-based call.
6. A 10,000mAh Battery with 18W Charging
The 10,000mAh battery is one of the tablet’s headline specifications. It supports 9V/2A charging, equivalent to 18W, through USB Type-C. This pairs a high-capacity battery with the large display and mobile connectivity that define the Iconia Tab 12.
