Acer EP130K Offers a Paper-Like Viewing Experience
The Acer EP130K is a portable monitor based on ePaper technology, similar to what you find on e-readers.
Unlike a normal LCD or OLED screen, ePaper uses surrounding light instead of constantly shining a backlight towards your eyes. This can make the display more comfortable for long reading and writing sessions, especially in bright environments.
The monitor also supports touch input, allowing users to interact with it using a finger or stylus.
In black-and-white mode, the display supports a resolution of up to 3200 x 2400 pixels with a refresh rate of up to 60Hz. Users can also switch to a colour display mode when required.
A single USB Type-C cable can provide power from a connected laptop or smartphone.
One interesting feature is its bi-stability technology. The image currently displayed on the screen can remain visible even after the power source is disconnected.
This could be useful for keeping documents, notes, reference material or other information visible without continuously using the laptop’s battery.
Acer PD163Q P3 Adds Three Screens to Your Laptop
The Acer PD163Q P3 is designed for users who need more screen space while working on a laptop.
It comes with three 15.6-inch Full HD IPS displays that connect to a laptop using a single USB Type-C connection. Each screen can also be folded independently, making the setup easier to carry and adjust.
Users can operate the screens in extend or clone mode.
For example, one display can show a presentation while the other screens are used for spreadsheets, emails, chats or other applications.
Acer also provides an external USB-C power adapter, and users can adjust the brightness across all three screens.
When combined with the laptop’s built-in display, the setup can provide a total of four screens.
This could be particularly useful for professionals who frequently work with several applications at the same time but do not want to carry separate desktop monitors.
Acer C350e Combines a Projector With an AI Badge
The new Acer C350e is more than a regular portable projector.
It comes with a detachable AI Badge that can continue working even when the projector is not being used. The badge can display photos, widgets and AI-generated responses through Google Gemini integration.
The AI Badge can also work as the projector’s remote control.
For projection, the C350e offers Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and uses an LED light source rated at 8,000 LED lumens and 350 ANSI lumens. It also supports 4K input.
A built-in camera provides automatic focus adjustment, while 2D keystone correction and four-corner correction help fix the shape of the projected image.
Acer claims a light source life of up to 30,000 hours.
The projector also includes dual 3W speakers and a stand capable of rotating through 360 degrees. This makes it possible to project content onto a wall, ceiling or other angled surface.
Acer Iconia X16 and X14 Get OLED Displays and Android 16
Acer has also refreshed its Iconia tablet range with the new Iconia X16 and Iconia X14.
As their names suggest, the tablets come with 16-inch and 14-inch displays respectively. Both models use OLED panels with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.
They are powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 processor and run Android 16.
Both tablets feature a metal body with a Matte Black finish.
Another useful feature is the inclusion of two USB Type-C ports. One port is dedicated to video input, while the second handles charging and data.
This means the tablet can be used as an external display while being charged separately.
The Iconia X16 and X14 also support screen casting and Acer’s tripod-style kickstand design.
An active stylus and detachable keyboard will be available separately.
Acer Iconia A16 and A14 Target More Affordable Tablet Buyers
Acer has also introduced the Iconia A16 and Iconia A14 for buyers looking for more affordable options.
These tablets use the same MediaTek Helio G80 processor and also come with the dual USB Type-C setup.
However, instead of OLED displays, Acer is using IPS panels on these models.
They also get a Vapor Silver finish instead of the metal Matte Black design offered with the X series.
The tablets run Android 16 and support features such as screen casting, making them suitable for entertainment, studying and normal everyday use.
Acer Connect X6ES and D5P Bring 5G Connectivity
Acer also introduced two new devices aimed at users who need reliable 5G connectivity.
The Acer Connect X6ES is a 5G CPE router designed for homes and small offices.
CPE stands for Customer Premises Equipment. In simple terms, the device connects to a 5G mobile network and shares that internet connection with other devices over Wi-Fi 6E.
The router supports dual 5G and WAN connectivity with automatic failover, along with 4×4 MIMO and the 6GHz Wi-Fi band.
Security features include WPA2/WPA3 encryption and VPN support.
The Acer Connect D5P, meanwhile, is a compact 5G USB dongle designed mainly for laptops.
It connects through USB Type-C and supports nano SIM, eSIM and vSIM. Acer is also providing a preloaded eSIM profile.
The company claims download speeds of up to 3.27Gbps in 5G Standalone mode.
For users who regularly work while travelling, the D5P could provide a more convenient alternative to depending on public Wi-Fi networks.
