Acer Predator ES Thunder Pro Unveiled With 1,600 W Peak Power and 70 km Range

Acer has introduced its most powerful e-scooter yet, the Predator ES Thunder Pro. The new model comes with up to 1,600 W peak motor power and offers a claimed 70 km range on a single charge.

It also gets several safety features designed for people who plan to use an e-scooter regularly and not just for short weekend rides.

The Predator ES Thunder Pro was announced during Acer’s next@acer global press event in Berlin. It sits at the top of Acer’s Predator e-scooter range and is designed to handle daily commuting as well as rougher roads.

For buyers checking e-scooter price and specifications, the Thunder Pro brings some useful upgrades. Acer has focused on common e-scooter issues such as hill climbing, grip on wet roads and limited battery range.

What Makes the Predator ES Thunder Pro Different

The Predator ES Thunder Pro uses a 500 W rear-wheel-drive DC motor that can produce up to 1,600 W of peak power.

Maximum torque is rated at 32 Nm, while the scooter can handle inclines of up to 28 percent.

Gradeability tells you how steep a slope the scooter can climb using its own motor power. A 28 percent rating should make the Thunder Pro suitable for steep roads, ramps and flyovers where less powerful e-scooters may slow down.

Acer says the extra torque also helps provide smoother acceleration and better performance while climbing slopes.

This makes the Predator ES Thunder Pro the most powerful and capable model in Acer’s Predator e-scooter lineup so far.

Traction Control, Off-Road Tires and All-Weather Safety

Acer has also focused on grip and rider safety. The scooter comes with a Traction Control System (TCS) that can adjust motor power when it detects the wheel losing grip.

This can be useful while riding on wet roads, loose gravel or other slippery surfaces.

The scooter gets 10-inch tubeless pneumatic off-road tires, which should provide better stability on both regular city roads and rough surfaces.

There is also an IPX6 water-resistance rating, giving the scooter protection against rain and heavy water splashes.

For better visibility, Acer has added front daytime running lights along with side RGB ambient lighting. These lights can make the scooter easier for other road users to notice during early morning, evening and low-light rides.

Safety FeatureWhat It Does
Traction Control SystemAdjusts power output in real time for better grip on wet or low-grip surfaces
10-inch off-road tubeless tiresImproves stability across city and rough terrain
IPX6 water resistanceProtects against heavy splashes and rain exposure
Daytime running lightsImproves front visibility in daylight
RGB ambient lightingAdds side visibility for other road users
Front and rear disc brakesFront disc, rear disc plus eABS for controlled stopping

Range, Charging and Everyday Usability

The Predator ES Thunder Pro offers a claimed maximum range of 70 km on a single charge.

For regular city commuters, this could mean several short trips before the scooter needs to be charged again. Actual range will depend on factors such as rider weight, speed, road conditions and riding mode.

Power comes from a 48 V, 13 Ah battery with a capacity of 624 Wh.

The scooter supports a maximum rider weight of 120 kg and weighs 26.5 kg including the battery. It also has a folding design, making it easier to store or place inside a car when required.

Top speed is limited to between 20 and 25 km/h, depending on local regulations.

Several riding modes are available, including Pedestrian, ECO, D, S and Cruise Control. Riders can choose a mode depending on whether they want better efficiency or stronger acceleration.

Smart Connectivity and AI Voice Control

The Predator ES Thunder Pro also comes with several smart features.

It supports location tracking through Find My and Find Hub, giving users more options for locating the scooter.

The Acer eMobility app can be used to check battery status, view riding information and control features such as electronic locking and lighting directly from a smartphone.

Acer has also included AI voice control.

Using voice commands, riders can perform basic tasks such as locking or unlocking the scooter, checking the battery level and changing lighting settings without having to operate the phone manually.

The Thunder Pro improves on Acer’s earlier Predator ES Storm Pro, which was introduced at CES 2026 with a 65 km range and 1,200 W peak motor output.

The new Thunder Pro increases the power, torque and maximum claimed range.
