Samsung Note 4, Note Edge and standalone Gear S announced

Samsung, the Korean Giant announced 3 devices the Note 4, the Note Edge and the wearable standalone Gear S. The Note 4 is upgraded Note 3, Note Edge is another smartphone something completely new with curved touchscreen and Gear S is a curved Smartwatch with SIM slot.

Galaxy Note 4
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 sports a 5.7 inch screen with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The screen is super AMOLED with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There is 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and 64GB external card support.

Note 4 runs Android KitKat 4.4.4 out of the box. Like the other Note series the Note 4 also comes with the S-Pen Stylus. This handset will be available in different variants Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420 GPU and Exynos 5433 (1.3GHz quad core + 1.9GHz quad core) with Mali T760 GPU.

There are dual cameras a 16MP rear auto focus with LED flash and a 3.7 MP front facing camera. Rear camera can shoot 2160p videos. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC and Infrared port. The Samsung Note 4 houses a 3220 mAh battery.

Note Edge
The Samsung Note Edge is something you have never seen before. It comes with curved screen with notifications on the edges (check the image below). This handset will also comes in two variants Exynos 5433 with Mali T760 and Snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420.

Edge comes with a stylus (S-Pen) and the super AMOLED screen (with curved edge) is 5.6 inches with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. It is corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected. Android 4.4.4 runs the show with 3GB RAM, optional 32 / 64 GB storage and 64GB micro SD card support.

This handset also comes with 16MP rear camera with 2160p recording and 3.7MP front camera just like the Note 4. Key features are the same as on the Note 4 but the Edge comes with 3000 mAh battery.

Gear S
The next wearable device from Samsung is called the Gear S. It is dust and water resistant, sports a curved 2 inch display with 480 x 360 pixels resolution. The watch runs Tizen OS and is powered by 1 GHz dual core processor. The Gear S actually comes with a SIM slot and you can use it like standalone phone.

Like the Gear 2 the Gear S also comes with heart rate sensor. There is built in GPS with GLONASS and other features are Bluetooth 4.1, 3G, 2G and Wi-Fi. There is 512MB RAM and 4 Gigs of internal storage, there is no micro SD card slot. This standalone Smartwatch comes with 300 mAh battery and there are no cameras on this watch.
