Panasonic P31 1.3GHz quad core with 5 inch screen launched for Rs. 12K

Panasonic P31 that was in the news a few days back has been launched for a price of Rs. 11,990. This handset comes powered by 1.3GHz quad core processor (the MediaTek with Mali 400 GPU) and runs on the Android 4.2 OS.

P31 is a dual SIM handset with micro SD card slots. It sports a 5 inch screen with 854 x 480 pixels resolution. As mentioned it is using the quad core MediaTek 1.3GHz chipset with Mali 400 GPU. RAM is 1GB and internal storage is 4GB.

There is micro SD card slot (32GB supported). Other features are 3G, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth and GPS. The Panasonic P31 also includes an 8MP auto focus camera on the rear with LED flash and a front VGA camera. The rear camera can record in full HD videos.

There is 2000 mAh battery which according to Panasonic will give a talk time of up to 9 hours on 3G and 13 hours on 2G networks. Panasonic has added more stuffs into the P31 – the Play Life feature it’s gesture controlled, users can use gesture to navigate. Also included is a POP-I Player app for viewing videos in popup mode.

Unlike many other handsets the P31 will not get heated up much, thanks to the heat sink deign that will help regulate the temperature and keep the handset as cool as possible.

Panasonic P31 will hit the stores soon for a price tag of Rs. 11,990. The handset will be competing with the XOLO Q1010, Micromax Turbo Mini A200 and the XOLO Q700S to name a few.
