The interactive display market just got a significant shakeup. BenQ has officially launched the BenQ Board Pro RP05 in India, and the numbers behind it are hard to ignore. At the heart of this board sits a 10 TOPs Neural Processing Unit (NPU) the most powerful NPU fitted in any large-format interactive display currently available in India. That ETHZ AI score of approximately 430 puts it well ahead of everything else in this segment.
Most competing boards still run on 4 to 6 TOPs NPUs. The gap is not subtle.

What Makes the RP05 Different
The chip running everything here is the MediaTek Genio 720, described as the world’s most advanced IoT chipset. BenQ pairs it with 16GB DDR5X RAM and 256GB of onboard storage specs you’d normally expect from a mid-range laptop, not a classroom display. Updates arrive over the air.
The RP05 is available in three sizes: 65 inches (RP6505), 75 inches (RP7505), and 86 inches (RP8605).

BenQ AI: The Real Story
Here’s where it gets genuinely interesting. The on-device NPU means all AI features run locally no cloud, no lag, no dependency on school Wi-Fi reliability. For anyone who has watched a teacher fumble with a slow connected display mid-lesson, this matters more than any spec sheet can convey.
The AI Lesson tool generates lesson plans and teaching outlines on the spot. AI Quiz auto-creates questions and practice sets. Ask AI puts a conversational interface directly on screen so any question gets answered without switching apps. Camera Gesture reads hand movements through the board’s built-in camera, letting a teacher advance slides or scroll content from across the room.
Lasso Search is a clever addition draw a circle around any image or word on screen and the board pulls up related information instantly.
BenQ’s EZWrite 6.0 whiteboard platform layers on more capability. EZMath converts handwritten equations into clean digital text and handles calculations. One-tap translation covers 59 languages. AI Text-to-Speech reads out any on-screen text in natural-sounding voice. Wireless sharing via InstaShare 2 includes AI Guardian, which scans content from student devices in real time and filters inappropriate material before it reaches the display.
No personal data is stored or collected. AI tools only activate when called.
Audio, Connectivity and Touch
The RP05 carries a 70W audio system two 25W speakers plus a 20W subwoofer alongside an eight-microphone array. Touch input supports up to 50 simultaneous points, working on both Android and Windows.
Connectivity covers:
| Port / Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| USB-C | 3.0 with 100W Power Delivery |
| HDMI | 2.0 inputs and outputs |
| Duo Screen Output | Extend to a second display |
| Touch Points | 50 simultaneous |
| Microphones | 8-mic array |
Classroom Health Features
BenQ calls this suite ClassroomCare. The RP05 holds Eyesafe 3.0 certification for blue light management, along with RPF 60 and CPF 50 panel filter ratings. The display surface and accessories carry TUV and SIAA germ-resistant certification, effective against 99.9% of common germs. An integrated air quality sensor tracks CO2, PM2.5, and TVOC levels throughout the day.
Security and IT Management
Google EDLA certification means Google Play Protect runs continuously, scanning installed apps for malware. Android 15 gives administrators granular control over camera, microphone, and file permissions at the device level.
For schools running multiple campuses, BenQ’s Device Management System handles remote control, firmware updates, and usage analytics from a single dashboard. Teachers can log in via QR code on any board and instantly restore their personal settings.
