Xolo Q800 quad core with 4.5 inch screen now available for Rs. 12499

The Xolo Q800 is now listed on flipkart with a price tag or Rs. 12,499. This is much sooner than expected. Anyway the price is good and a good alternative to the Micromax A116 which is still difficult to get.

The Xolo Q800 will probably comes with quad core processor (MT6589) with PowerVR SGX 544 GPU.  There are some differences that justify the price tag. In fact some might still want to go with the Micromax A116. Well the Xolo Q800 sports a 4.5 inch screen as compared to 5 inch on the MMX A116. The resolution again is of 960×540 pixels as compared to 1280×720 pixels on A116. The Q800 unfortunately supports only a single SIM. If its single SIM then we need to confirm the processor. (Flipkart now updated the specs says its dual SIM so its Mt6589).

But still a good option for those who want a smaller screen (would have to sacrifice the resolution though). The Q800 runs on the Android 4.1 OS (Jelly Bean) with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The camera is of 8MP resolution with BSI Sensor. There is LED flash and a front 1.2MP camera for video chats. I think the camera can record videos in 1080p resolution. It can play full HD videos.

There is 3G (21Mbps HSDPA), 2G, Bluetooth , 3.5mm jack, GPS and micro USB. The sensors are not mentioned on the Flipkart site but safe to assume it will come with G-Sensor, Light and proximity. Probably it could also include the magnetic sensor.

The battery is of a good 2100 mAh capacity that gives 10 to 16 hours talktime and up to 360 hours standby time. The handset is slimmer than A116 at 9.6mm thickness. For the price it does look good, a higher resolution could have made it even better.
