BlackBerry will soon launch the budget friendly QWERTY smartphone called the BlackBerry Q5 that will sail on the BlackBerry 10 OS. The Q5 handset could probably be released within the next 2 or 3 months.

The BlackBerry Q5 as mentioned sports a QWERTY keyboard with a 3.1 inch capacitive (TFT) touchscreen with multi touch support. The 3.1 inch screen supports a 720×720 pixels resolution i.e. about 328ppi.

This handset will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor from Qualcomm Snapdragon. Q5 runs on the BlackBerry 10 OS with 8GB internal storage (RAM unknown). It is a single SIM handset with 3G support.

This BlackBerry smartphone also sports a 5 megapixel camera and a front 2MP camera. Other features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB and 3.5mm audio jack.

There is a non-removable battery of 2100 mAh capacity. Considering the 3.1 inch screen size the battery should really last longer, much longer. The pricing details are not yet known.
