Videocon A24 android 4.2 and MediaTek powered handset for Rs. 4699

Videocon A24 is yet another MediaTek MT6572 dual core powered handset that runs on the Jelly Bean 4.2 OS with just 256MB RAM. This is a budget phone for a tempting price of approx Rs. 4,699 unfortunately the handset does not support 3G.

We have seen few other 1.2GHz MT6572 dual core handsets with 256MB RAM and running the Android 4.2 OS (Intex Cloud X3, Lava Iris 356 and Lava Iris 402). And now A24 from Videocon joins the bandwagon.

The Videocon A24 supports dual SIM and is 11.8mm thick. The capacitive touch screen is 4 inches with 800×480 pixels resolution. There is 0.3MP front camera and a 3.2MP fixed focus rear camera with flash support.

RAM is 256MB with 512MB internal storage of which about 200MB will be available for the users. Other features are 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB and 3.5mm audio jack. It seems the A24 comes with G-sensors only.

Battery is of 1450 mAh capacity with a talk time of up to 4 hours.  This handset is listed on Flipkart.
