Samsung Galaxy Young and Fame budget friendly Jelly Bean handset unveiled

Two more budget friendly handsets namely the Samsung Galaxy Young and Samsung Galaxy Fame will soon hit the Indian markets. Both the handsets sail on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The pricing details and availability dates are not known.

Both the handsets looks almost similar, the noticeable difference is curvier top and bottom on the Galaxy Fame (check the image below). Since these are low cost handsets both come with HVGA (480x320p) screen resolution. The handsets will come in 2 variants single SIM and dual SIM.

Samsung Galaxy Young
This handset comes with 768MB RAM running Jelly Bean OS over a 1GHz processor (Single core). The screen is 3.27 inches with 480×320 pixels resolution. There is built in 4GB internal storage plus micro SD slot that supported card of up to 64GB.  Galaxy Young also shows off a 3MP camera on the rear side without flash.

The handset supports 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3, GPS (A-GPS), micro USB and 3.5mm jack. The Young handset is 12.5mm thick with 112 grams weight. Accelerometer, proximity and Magnetic sensors are present along with a 1300 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Fame
This handset also supports 3G and comes with a slightly bigger screen of 3.5 inches with 480×320 pixels resolution. Jelly Bean OS runs on a single core 1GHz processor. This handset comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage with micro SD support (64GB).

There is a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash and a secondary front facing camera of VGA resolution. The Galaxy Fame weighs 120 grams with 11.6mm thickness. Other features are Wi-Fi, GPS (A-GPS/Glonass), Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB and 3.5 mm audio jack. The Fame comes with Proximity, Accelerometer and magnetic sensors. A 1300 mAh battery powers the handset.
