K6000 Pro Unboxing

Box pack content:  Handset, silicon case, screen guard, SIM tray ejector pin, user guide, warranty card, OTG cable, data cable and travel charger (9V/2A).

Design, Display and OS

The Oukitel K6000 Pro is heavy and bulky – weight with battery is 216 grams and dimensions are 76.59 x 154.06 x 10.37 (mm). This handset is using a metal frame – build quality and finishing is good.

Power and volume button are on the right side, SIM tray is on the left side, audio jack is on the top and micro USB port is at the bottom.  This is a dual Hybrid SIM handset you can either use a micro SD card (max 32GB) and a micro SIM or 2 x micro SIM. 4G is supported.

This handset sports a 5.5 inch screen with FHD resolution and using 2.5D curved glass. Color reproduction, viewing angles and touch response is good. Android Marshmallow 6.0 is running out of the box.

There is no LED notification. K6000 Pro is loaded with 3 sensors accelerometer, light and proximity.

Memory and Storage

There is 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. On the first boot you will get around 22GB free space and 2GB free RAM. OTG is supported.

Performance

This smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6753, 1.3GHz octa core processor (64 Bit) with Mali T720 GPU. Performance is smooth, handset does not heat up with normal / moderate usage but with heavy usage specially gaming the temperature increases, max battery temperature I encountered was 43 degrees when playing games.

Benchmark

  • Quadrant – 2397
  • Antutu – 33851 | 3D score – 5413
  • Nenamark 2 – 55.9fps
  • Internal storage Speed – Read (193MB/s), Write (75MB/s)
  • Multi Touch – 5 Point

Gaming

The Asphalt 8 game was playable in Medium visual quality mode. It was lagging in High quality mode. Hardware is not that powerful when it comes to gaming, but can play in low graphics mode. Do note – the handset temperature might increase.

Even when playing Modern Combat 5 game there was a mild lag at initial levels.

Camera

There is a 16MP camera on the rear (8MP interpolated) and front camera is 5MP. Rear camera can shoot FHD videos. Camera quality is average – check the sample images and video at the end of this review.

Others

I did not find any issues with 4G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth. The network signal was also quite stable. Sound is lower than when compared with other handsets. There is finger print sensor on the back that does a decent job, decently fast and accurate.

Battery

Oukitel K6000 Pro comes with 6000 mAh battery. Battery life is impressive you can expect 9 to 11 hours of non-stop moderate to heavy usage on single charge.

Oukitel K6000 Pro Battery Performance (time / battery % drop / estimated battery temperature).

  • Running Benchmark app – 11 minutes / 2% / 37 degrees
  • Asphalt 8 + MC5 game play – 22 minutes / 4% / 43 degrees
  • FHD video playback with full brightness (WiFi /4G on) – 34 minutes /5% / 37 degrees.

It took me 1 hour 21 minutes to charge the handset using wall charger from 43% to 100%. The handset can be fully charged from 0% to 100 in about three to three and half hours.

Verdict

K6000 Pro is good handset, though not really for gaming users. In general hardware is powerful (except gaming), camera is average and battery life is very good.

Rating 3 out of 5.

Oukitel K6000 Pro is priced at less than $147.
