Google announces Nexus 9 tablet with 64 bit processor

Google unveiled the Nexus 6 smartphone and the Nexus 9 tablet on Wednesday. Both these devices will be running the latest Android 5.0 also called the Lollipop. For the Nexus 9 tablet Google has collaborated with HTC.

Nexus 9 sports an 8.9 inch IPS LCD screen supporting 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. The screen comes with corning gorilla glass 3 protection. Inside the hood it is using the 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 Dual Denver clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with Kepler DX1 GPU (192 core).

It runs Android 5 Lollipop with 2GB on board RAM, 16GB/32GB storage and there is no micro SD card support. This tab comes with 8MP rear AF camera with LED flash and 1.6MP on the front. Rear camera can record 1080p videos whereas the front camera can in 720p resolution.

Key features are 4G/3G/2G (optional), Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. There is non-removable battery of 6700 mAh capacity.

This Google HTC Nexus 9 tablet is expected to be in stores in early November 2014 starting from $399 up to $599 depending on the Wi-Fi , Internal Storage and Wi-Fi + LTE variants.
