The Kindle Paperwhite is upgraded version of the All new Kindle. This Paperwhite also features a 6 inch screen but comes with built in light and with 300 ppi resolution. Another unique thing is that you can choose from Wi-Fi only or with Wi-Fi + 3G variant.

The 3G is literally free, there are no extra charges and no monthly charges. This is the same 3G technology that you use on your smartphone. Now this 3G is integrated within the paperwhite and at the most you can use this unlimited 3G to download Kindle books from Amazon store.

Performance

The Kindle Paperwhite is better as it comes with 300 ppi display – this is even more comfortable when compared with the basic Kindle. The first time setup process is the same, you need to register the kindle with your Amazon account.

If you already used a kindle before the books that you purchased / downloaded will be downloaded again in case you try to access them, they are stored on the cloud and whenever a new Kindle is used, it will show up on your new Kindle.
