YU has launched a portable printer called the YUPIX. This is a compact and portable mobile photo printer that will be available on Amazon.in on 7th September 2015, for a price tag of ₹6,999. The price looks good however not sure what will be the recurring cost of the unique cartridge.

YUPIX can print 16.7 million colours at 291 dpi and the max print size is 2.1 x 3.4 inches. It can print 10 continuous quality photos before charging the battery and takes about 1 minute to print 1 photo. This device weighs about 273 grams that includes the battery and cartridge.

YUPIX is using a unique cartridge – Dye Sublimation technology. The cartridge is finger print + water proof and the single cartridge houses both photo papers and ink ribbon. This printer will work with android smartphones via a special app that can be downloaded from Google Play and will also work on iOS devices.

YU YUPIX portable Mobile Photo printer for ₹6,999

This portable printer makes use of Wi-Fi or NFC for communicating with the smartphone. The device gets power from a 750 mAh battery. Cartridge refill option is also available, but price not yet disclosed.

Yu YUPIX (Blue colour) will be available on Amazon.in from 7th September for ₹6,999.

  2. Another dumb product from Yu . Those want to waste their money will buy it. Forget about after sale service . They returned my yuphoria phone without repair after 30day & now not picking the phone. This the worst company .

    1. I don’t think so, they would not have disclosed it before the event and that too with price, there could be something else.

  3. Pretty good. But considering the Fact that yu has no service center and a poor customer support it is costly. Should have been priced between 4k-5k.
