Benchmark scores

  • Quadrant Standard – 5730.
  • AnTuTu – 15438.
  • Vellamo – HTML5 1554, Metal 584.

  • Multi touch : 5 points.

13MP Camera and Entertainment
The rear 13MP camera quality is good, however the Magnus A117 camera still looks the best. Full HD video recording is pretty good. There is 5MP front camera with average output. You can check the sample images and videos at the end of the article.

Gaming Review
I could play the MC4 and Asphalt 8 game. These games got installed on the external storage. Though the Modern combat 4 game is playable there is a mild lag / frame drop. The lag was also found on Asphalt 8 with high graphic mode, if you switch to low graphics mode you get better control and smoother game play.

Others
There is one hand operation app that reduces the screen size i.e. a smaller screen within the big screen (check video review). The one hand operation app slows down the system though.

3G(42Mbps), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth worked well. The GPS is with EPO and A-GPS support; make sure you enable EPO and enable EPO downloads. GPS lock was pretty impressive with 2 seconds. Sound is loud and clear.

4000 mAh Battery
XOLO claims that the battery gives a talk-time of up to 21 hours on 3G and up to 33 hours on 2G. I played the games for about 17 minutes the battery dropped by 6% and when running benchmark apps for approx 19 minutes the battery dropped by 5%. The max temperature was 37 degrees.  I guess you can play high end games continuously for 4 to 6 hours.

Verdict
The XOLO Q3000 features looks good however the price is just over Rs. 20,000. The Micromax Turbo A250 is a little cheaper but with trimmed features (smaller screen / battery mAh). In general the Q3000 looks good (high end game play will be bit laggy) but octa cores have already made their way into the market, pricing wise it is cheaper or about the same.
