XOLO mobiles have launched the XOLO Q1100 – the Moto G competitor. It is powered by 1.4GHz quad core (Qualcomm Snapdragon processor) with Adreno 305 GPU running Android 4.3 for Rs. 14,999.

Chipset is MSM8228 Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.4GHz. It is also a dual SIM and if you compare the specifications it is similar to the Moto G with some minor changes. The OGS IPS screen is 5 inches as compared to 4.5 inch on the Moto G. The resolution is the same i.e. 1280x720p. If you notice the handset image it looks like there are dedicated buttons on the XOLO Q1100.

The Q1100 is 8.3mm thick. This handset runs on Android 4.3 with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. Another point to be noted when comparing with the Moto G is that the Q1100 does support external micro SD card of up to 32GB.

The rear camera is 8MP with BSI 2 sensors with 720p video recording and flash support. There is a front camera too of 2MP resolution. There are accelerometer, proximity, magnetic and light sensors. Other features are 3G (42Mbps), Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS with A-GPS.

Battery is 2000 mAh capacity with a quick charging time of about 2.4 hours and talk time of about 23 hours on 2G  and up to 12 hours on 3G networks.

The XOLO Q1100 is priced at Rs. 14,999 a little more than the Moto G. On some point the Moto G wins and on some the XOLO Q1100 wins, it is a matter of user choice depending on their needs. Am not sure if XOLO will give android 4.4. KitKat update for this handset, let’s hope they do.

XOLO had also launched the XOLO Q1010 that is also showcased on their official website.

Tip: XOLO + many other users.
