Performance and Benchmark
The T1000 is powered by 1.5 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3, Quad Core coupled with 12-core NVIDIA GeForce, GPU clocked at 416 MHz. It is not a new hardware but it still beats most of the handsets today.

The handset does get heated up when you are playing high end games. You can check out the video review.

Benchmark Scores

  • Quadrant Benchmark : 4041.
  • Antutu Benchmark : 12347.

Camera
There is an 8MP autofocus camera with BSI sensor and a front 2MP camera. Full HD video recording is supported. The still camera quality is okay, long shots are good but close ups are not that impressive. When recording videos you can click images at the same time. Do check the sample images.

Entertainment and Gaming
I could play full HD videos using MX player. The sound is loud and clear. There is built in FM radio. You can play many high end games. TegraZone app comes preinstalled, that gives you access to games specially made for Nvidia (most of the games are paid version). I tried Nova 3 that worked well.

Others
I tried connecting pen drive using OTG cable and it did not work, OTG is not supported. I also could not find the OTA update option in the settings. There is only one SIM slot. 3G (21Mbps), Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 3 and GPS worked well. I got the GPS lock within 5 seconds.

Battery
Battery is 2000 mAh. For normal operations (no gaming) it seems good enough. 17% drop when playing Nova 3 game for 11 minutes with Wi-Fi enabled, battery temp went up from 32 to 44 degree. There is the Xolo Battery saver app that I have enabled it. On a full charge I got backup of 28 hours with 3G on, for moderate usage probably 21 hours to full day depending on usage. I have not seen the battery temp rising above 50 degree (room temp was around 25 degree).

Xolo Play T1000 review
A powerful handset for a very attractive price tag. It is basically meant for gaming users but unfortunately drains a lot of power when playing high end games. For example on a full charge you will be able to play the Nova 3 game for up to 1 to 1 ½  hours, If you reduce the brightness to minimal you will get some more minutes.

Overall a very good handset that competes with many other quad core handsets within the same price range.
