Xiaomi Redmi Note with 4G support launched in China

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 4G that runs MiUi version 5 over a 5.5 inch screen. It is a Phablet powered by snapdragon 400 processor with 4G support. The 4G Redmi Note price in China is approx Rs. 10K.

The Redmi Note that will go on sale in India pretty soon will be using the MediaTek Octa Core chipset with 3G support. The Note 4G that was launched in China is different. It is using the 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core chipset (cortex A7) with Adreno 305 GPU. This handset supports 4G (TD-LTE).

Redmi Note 4G is a single SIM handset with a 9.5mm thickness. It runs MiUi 5 based on Android 4.4.2 with 8GB storage, 2GB RAM and external micro SD support of up to 64GB. The 5.5 inch IPS LCD screen supports 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

The Note 4G comes with 13MP rear AF camera with LED flash plus 1080p @ 30fps video recording. The front camera is of 5MP resolution for better selfies. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS / A-GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.

There are accelerometer, magnetic, proximity, light and gyro sensors. This handset will get power from a 3200 mAh Li-Po battery with talk time of up to 14 hours on 3G networks. No word about when this handset will be available in India or the price.
