At the first Mi Pop (for India) event held in Mumbai, Xiaomi launched the Mi VR Play headset in India for a price tag of Rs. 999. VR Play from Mi is a unique VR device that comes with a zipper to completely seal the phone and prevent it from falling.

The Xiaomi Mi VR Play supports YouTube 360 degree videos, you can also use Google camera photo spheres and watch content in 360 degrees. It makes use of Anti Reflective good quality lens, weight is 208 grams and supports/can hold 4.7 inch to 5.7 inch smartphones.

The Mi VR Play is using Lycra material that’s light weight, comes with adjustable straps and once you place the smartphone you can use the ZIP to completely cover up / seal the smart phone within the VR Play – this is to prevent the handset from falling when you move your head around. There is also a metal button for inputs.

Xiaomi Mi VR Play is now listed on Mi.com India website with a price tag of Rs. 999, the sale will begin from 21st December at 12PM – for now Black color version is available, but the company will also introduce limited edition colorful Mi VR Play headsets.
