Following a case filed by Ericsson and a subsequent ban by the Delhi high court, finally there is some relief for Xiaomi. The court has now allowed the company to sell and import handsets into India until January 08, 2015.

It seems the ban is lifted only on qualcomm devices. As per Ericsson it is a case of patent infringement, they can charge a fee for licensing it to another company. For now the ban has been lifted and probably the sales will start again on 23rd.

Mi3 and the Redmi 1S are using qualcomm chipsets. The ban may still be applicable for MediaTek chipset, if so then anyway there still be no sales.

Well let see what happens next.
