Wileyfox Swift and Storm snapdragon powered smartphones launched for under £200

Wileyfox a UK based brand has rolled out two new smartphones called the Wileyfox Swift and the Wileyfox Storm. The Swift is quad core powered and Storm is octa core powered, both these handsets are using the qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and running Cyanogen OS 12.1 out of the box.

Wileyfox Swift is using the 64 bit 1.2GHz qualcomm snapdragon 410 MSM8916 quad core processor with Adreno 306 GPU. It is a dual SIM handset sporting a 5 inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution with corning gorilla glass 3 protection.

Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Lollipop 5.1 is running with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and 32GB external card support. This handset is light weight at 135 grams with battery and 9.37mm thick. A 13MP camera with dual LED flash is packed on the rear and there is a 5MP front facing camera.

Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Swift is using a 2500mAh battery and priced at £129.

The Wileyfox Storm is using qualcomm snapdragon 615 octa core processor – 64 bit clocked at 1.5GHz with Adreno 405 GPU. This dual SIM handset comes with 3GB RAM 32GB storage and 128GB external card support.

It also runs Cyanogen OS 12.1 over a 5.5 inch FHD screen with gorilla glass 3 protection. Storm comes packed with a good 20MP camera using the SONY IMX220 sensor with LED flash on the back and an 8MP camera on the front with front LED flash support.

Weight with battery is 155 grams and thickness is 9.2mm. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4 and GPS. Storm gets power from a 2500 mAh battery and priced at £199.
