Webs-Den Enigma 4G is a dual SIM 4G supported smartphone running Lollipop with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage. This Octa Core powered handset comes with 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera. It is priced at ₹14,800.

Unboxing
Inside the box you will find the handset, data cable, travel charger (5V ~ 1A), user guide, good quality earphone, extra earplug caps and battery of 3100 mAh capacity (it is written 4100 mAh on battery, which is incorrect).

Design and Display
Though the handset is using a metal frame and looks good, the finishing is not perfect. On the review unit that I got, the screen is a little out on the right side (check video review). Weight with battery is 181 grams and dimensions are 77.70 x 155 x 8.9 (mm).

Power button is on the right side, volume rocker on the left, audio jack and micro USB is placed on the top side. There are dual Mics for noise cancellation. There are dual SIM slots a normal SIM and a micro SIM slot plus an overlapping micro SD card slot.

This Webs-Den Enigma 4G handset comes with a 5.5 inch LTPS screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Viewing angles and color reproduction are good. I did face some issues with the touch response, it was smooth but occasionally the flow was lost, probably because of the screen module that is coming out a bit on the top right side. The screen also came with a factory fitted screen guard.

There is LED – the home button light up when there is any notification. Enigma comes loaded with following sensors – accelerometer, light, proximity and magnetic.

Memory, Storage and OS
There is 3GB RAM (1.6GB free) and 16GB storage (12GB free). You can use micro SD card, apps are getting installed on internal storage. OTG is supported.

This handset is running Android 5.1 64 bit.

Performance
Enigma 4G houses the 1.7GHz 64 bit MediaTek MT6752 octa core processor with Mali T760 GPU. Performance is smooth but the handset heats up, the temp shoots up to 41 degrees quickly.

Benchmark

Benchmark App Score
Quadrant 20374
Antutu (64 bit) 1st – 41660 , 2nd – 38776
Nenamark 2 52.5fps
Multi touch 5 point

Gaming
I played Asphalt 8 (installed on internal storage). Game was playable in high visual quality mode, it was very smooth and lag free. The handset however heated up to 45 degrees within 17 minutes.

Camera
There if front 5MP FF camera and rear 13MP AF camera. Camera quality is above average. Check the sample images and videos at the end of the review.

Others
Though the handset supports 4G, I did not get the 4G logo, I tried outdoor / indoor but 4G failed to work – I am using Airtel 2300 4G band and it seems this band is not supported, if you are using 1800 4G band it will work. But for me 4G clearly did not work.

There is touch ID finger print scanner on the rear below the camera. It is fast and accurate, if you are using finger print scanner you find that the scanner most of the time a bit hot.

Battery
The handset comes with 3100 mAh removable battery. Battery backup is not that impressive considering the mAh. You can expect 3 to 4 hours of continuous moderate to heavy usage on a single charge. The battery also takes a lot of time charging. Have a look at the performance table below.

Webs-Den Enigma 4G 3100 mAh battery

Performance Time Battery drop % Battery Max Temp
Benchmark 11 Minutes 5% 42 degree
Gaming (Asphalt 8) 17 Minutes 10% 45 degree
FHD movie play with full brightness + Wi-Fi on 25 minutes 11% 41 degree
Wall Charge (on standby) 4 hours 30 minutes 24% to 100% (wall charge) 36 degree

Verdict
The price tag of ₹14,800 is high and add to it the imperfect finishing, heat up issues and not so good battery backup it is better to avoid the Webs-Den Enigma 4G smartphone.

Enigma 4G is priced at ₹14,800.
