Vivo X5Max goes official, announced in China for CNY 2998

Vivo will enter the Indian markets officially on 15th December and will be launching the slimmest smartphone the Vivo X5Max, in India. The X5Max however was announced in China and will be available from 22nd December for CNY 2998 (approx Rs. 30K).

The full Vivo X5Max specifications have also been revealed. The X5Max will also be launched on 15th December in India and you can expect the price tag between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000. It is indeed the slimmest phone in the world for now – with a 4.75mm thickness.

The price may seem high considering the thickness but wait until you read the full specifications. It is octa core powered using the 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset that is a combination of 1.7GHz quad core + 1GHz quad core. Android 4.4.4 KitKat runs the show with Vivo’s Funtouch 2.0 UI.

The X5Max comes with a 5.5 inch super AMOLED screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. There is 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. A micro SD card is also included that supports up to 128GB cards.

As far as the cameras are concerned they are equally good – A 13MP on the rear with flash using the SONY IMX214 sensor and a 5MP on the front. The camera lens is a little out (check image above). Well there is more, this is a dual SIM handset with 4G LTE support. Other features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, OTG support and Bluetooth 4.0. The handset comes with a 2000 mAh battery.
