Transcend has launched the JetDrive Go 300K that is specially made for Apple users. This is a dual flash drive that will work on Desktops, Laptops and Apple devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod). This drive is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options.

Design and performance
The JetDrive is using a metal body and there removable plastic covers on the ports. On one side you will find the USB 3.1 port that supports transfer of up to 130MB/s and on the other side there is the Apple Lightning connector that supports speed up to 20MB/s.
Transcend JetDrive Go is MFi certified and made to work on iPod, iPad and iPhone. It is available in silver and black colour options. File system is FAT 32 and device weight is around 8 grams. To use on PC just connect to USB port, you will get better speed if it’s a USB 3.x port but it will still work on USB 2.0 port.
USB 2.0 – read speed is 24MB/s and write speed is 18MB/s and on USB 3.0 I got read speed of 110MB/s and write speed of 96MB/s.

To use this drive with Apple devices you need to download and install the JetDrive Go app. There is QR code on the box, scan it to download it instantly from Apple store. Once you install the app connect the drive to your Apple device and then you will be able to take backup from Apple device on to the JetDrive, take contact backups, photos and videos.
But that’s not it, you can also play music from the JetDrive. If you are using iPhone you can save the camera images and videos directly on to the JetDrive.
So this device also kind of adds additional storage space to your existing Apple Device.
Verdict
If you are using an iPhone, iPad or iPod and if you are running out of space the Transcend JetDrive Go is a perfect option, the Mobile storage for iOS devices. It does come for a price but if you own an iPhone you can easily afford it.
