Memory and Storage
Of the 8GB storage 0.98GB is allocated for apps and 5.37GB for phone storage. Of the 1GB RAM you get around 726MB free on the first boot. Though there is a micro SD card slot that supports up to 32GB cards, you cannot install apps on the external storage. OTG is also not supported.

Performance
The Swipe Konnect 5.0 is using the well known MediaTek MT6582 1.3GHz Cortex A7 quad core processor with Mali 400 MP GPU. The performance is good and lag free.

Benchmark

App Result
Quadrant 7099

Vellamo Browser (2185) Metal (757) Multicore (1296)
Nenamark 2 51.8fps
Multi Touch 2 point

Gaming
The 2 point multi touch may not give a comfortable gaming experience but in most cases it will do well. I could play MC4 and Asphalt 8 without any issues. The Asphalt 8 was playable in highest visual mode. (Check the video review).

Entertainment and Camera
The Konnect 5.0 can play FHD videos using MX player. There is 8MP rear AF camera and 3.2MP front camera. Rear camera is with LED flash but the Flash is no good, however the rear camera quality outdoors is really good.

The camera can focus very close objects check the sample images. It can shoot 1080p videos at 29fps.

Others
The handset sound is good, loud and clear. There is 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS – no issues found with any of these. Wi-Fi Hotspot, USB and Bluetooth tethering is supported. The Flip Cover is good and is an ordinary cover – it will not switch on the screen when you flip.

Battery
This handset comes with a 1950 mAh battery. I used the handset for about 38 minutes running MC4 and Asphalt 8 game and playing around with benchmarking apps, the battery dropped by 32%. I then played a 1080p video in a loop (Wi-Fi on and brightness at max) for about 29 minutes, battery dropped by 24%.

Unfortunate the battery life is not that good. Estimated backup time is around 2 to 3 hours.

Verdict
The Swipe Konnect 5.0 comes with good specifications and with an above average rear camera. It is available for Rs. 8,996 on Snapdeal. On the Snapdeal website it is mentioned that the Konnect 5.0 will get the Kitkat update. With Kitkat update the handset could compete with Micromax Unite 2 and the Lava Iris X1 however  with only 2 point multi touch support and a not so good battery backup, the Konnect 5.0 will not be the preferred choice.
