Spice recently launched the Spice Mi-352 and now another model called the Spice Mi-424 gets listed on HomeShop 18 with a price tag of Rs. 4,999.

The Spice Mi-424 sports a 4 inch screen with 800×480 pixels resolution and is powered by a single core 1GHz processor. The handset runs on Android 2.3 OS and does not support 3G. EDGE and GPRS networks are supported.

Other features included are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack and Micro USB port. There is no built in GPS support. The memory I believe is 256MB and storage space will be around 202 MB. The specs are low end without 3G support and with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.

Intex Aqua Trendy seems a better option with dual core though it sill loaded with outdated stuffs and without 3G. It seems the Mi-425 handset was silently released and we could see many more handsets with outdated hardware / software with price under Rs. 5,000.

The reason why manufactures are clearing the stock if because quad core handsets will hit the markets probably in Feb 2013. And once they do the demand for Android 2.3 handsets will drop or there will be further price reduction. Dual core handset will also get cheaper as of now the best (all loaded) handset is Videocon A30 and next to it is the Celkon A200 with price under 8K.
