As expected Spice Mobiles has officially launched their first Firefox powered handset the Spice Fire One Mi-FX 1 for Rs. 2,299. This smartphone will be competing with the Intex Cloud FX that too comes powered by Firefox OS.

At a press event in Delhi Spice Mobiles launched the Fire One Mi-FX 1 a 1 GHz powered smartphone with dual SIM support. The chipset has not yet been disclosed; most likely it will be Spreadtrum 6821 chipset. The FX 1 runs on Firefox OS over a 3.5 inch screen with HVGA resolution (480 x 320 pixels). RAM and internal storage has not be revealed. The on-board RAM could probably be 128MB.

The FX 1 does not support 3G networks but you can use 2G (EDGE / GPRS). The handset packs a 1.3MP camera on the rear and a 0.3MP on the front. The Fire One Mi-FX 1 will also support Bangla, Tamil and Hindi languages. Key features are 2G, Bluetooth, micro USB port, Wi-Fi and 3.5mm audio jack. There is no built in GPS.

This Spice handset houses a 1400 mAh battery. It will be available soon exclusively on Snapdeal for Rs. 2,299.
