Sony’s Xperia E1 will hit the stores this March. The handset has been launched in India; it will come in two variants – single SIM version for Rs. 9,499 and dual SIM version for Rs. 10,499.

The Xperia E1 houses a dual core processor running Android 4.3 with Timescape UI over a 4 inch screen. The screen resolution is 800 x 480 pixels. The dual core used is Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 – MSM8210 with Adreno 302 GPU clocked at 1.2GHz. There is 512MB RAM and 4GB on board storage.

The E1 unfortunately does not come with a front camera but there is a rear camera of 3MP resolution that can shoot 720p videos. Sony Xperia E1 is light weight at 120 grams but not that slim, its 12mm thick.

Main features are 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The 1750 mAh battery gives talk time of up to 8 hours on 2G and 3G networks. Standby time is over 400 hours. This handset will be available in single SIM and dual SIM variants for Rs. 9,499 and Rs. 10,499 respectively, within few days.
