Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launched could hit the Indian stores this September

By Gogi Rana on September 5, 2013 41 Comments

Samsung has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 along with Note 10.1 and Galaxy Gear smart watch at the IFA (trade event in Berlin).  The Galaxy Note 3 sports a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED screen with full HD resolution with a weight of about 168 grams.

Just like the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Note the Note 3 will also come with the S-Pen, an all new S-Pen with improved multi tasking capabilities. The S-Pen according to Samsung had been improved significantly – Samsung calls it a key to the device.

S-Pen on the Note 3 can be used to work with air commands for example copying text from a web page without having to use the other menu options. Multi Window mode is supported plus users can now open two windows for the same app (multiple instances).

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will come loaded with 3GB RAM and 32/64GB internal storage plus with a micro SD slot. There will be a 13MP rear auto focus camera with LED flash and a front camera too. The battery will be of a 3200 mAh capacity.

Samsung will release two different versions one with 4G and the other with 3G support. The 4G version will be powered by Qualcomm S800 quad core processor clocked at 2.3GHz and the 3G version will be powered by OCTA-CORE Exynos processor clocked at 1.9GHz. Most likely the 3G version will first hit the Indian stores. No words about the price in India – stay tuned for more.

The Jiayu G4 is the only one with a price of 18.5 k and 2 gb ram. Gogi has even reviewed a piece(check out his review here:

Otherwise nothing seems to be known about when and where it will be available, after-sales support etc.

The Note II is a quad-core phone to Lenovo’s dual-core, has expandable storage of up to 64 gb and battery life is awesome at 3000 maH. But more than that, it’s one of those rare perfect android phones, a device that goes beyond mere specifications, the android project’s ultimate poster-child(even more the somewhat over-hyped Nexus 7) I have the old Nexus 7 16 gb and recently got a second hand Note II in good condition. After a week of playing around with it, my nexus 7 feels like something that came out of a scrap metal shop in Mongolia! Even Apple fanboys have gasped in admiration. Buy the Note II without any hesitation.

Note 2 because the Intel chip has compatibility issues so K900 is not a worthy buy
