Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 launched for ₹ 12K and ₹ 15K

Samsung Mobiles today at an event in Delhi launched the Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7 handsets for ₹ 11,999 and ₹ 14,999. J5 is quad core powered smartphone sporting a 5 inch screen and the J7 is octa core powered with a 5.5 inch screen.

Samsung Galaxy J5 is using the qualcomm snapdragon 1.2GHz quad core processor running Lollipop 5.1 over a 5 inch super AMOLED screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. This is a dual SIM handset with a weight of about 128 grams and comes packed with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB storage plus micro SD card slot that supports up to 128GB external cards.

Galaxy J5 also comes with a 13 megapixel auto focus camera on the rear with LED flash and a front facing 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. This handset can shoot full HD videos. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS and Bluetooth 4.1. A 2600 mAh battery powers up this handset.

Samsung Galaxy J7 is powered by 1.5GHz Exynos octa core processor and it’s running Android 5.1 Lollipop over a 5.5 inch super AMOLED screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. This handset also comes with 13MP AF primary camera with flash and a 5MP secondary camera with flash.

J7 weight is 172 grams and it is 7.5mm thick. There is 1.5GB RAM, 16GB ROM and 128GB external micro SD card support. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and Wi-Fi. This dual SIM handset houses a 3000 mAh battery.

Samsung has tied up with Gameloft, on J5 and the J7 devices users will find the GameZone app that comes pre-installed. Game Credits worth ₹ 3, 200 will be available on Asphalt 8, GT Racing 2, Modern Combat 5 and 6 Guns. All of these games and Spiderman Unlimited can be downloaded from GameZone. Users can then use Game Credits for example in Asphalt 8 they can use scratch card and get new cars. Gaming credit is not applicable for Spiderman Unlimited.

Samsung Galaxy J5 will be available for ₹ 11,999 and Galaxy J7 for ₹ 14,999 exclusively on Flipkart. Registrations will start today at 4:00 PM.
