Samsung Galaxy J1 quad core with 4G for under Rs. 10K

Samsung Mobiles had launched budget friendly 4G enabled smartphone the Galaxy J1 few weeks back and now it is officially available in India for under Rs. 10,000 (probably around Rs. 9,000 – not confirmed). The handset is powered by quad core processor with 4G LTE support.

Here is the Samsung Galaxy J1 that houses a 1.2GHz quad core processor (chipset unknown). It is running Android KitKat 4.4.x out of the box with touchwiz UI. There is 768MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and micro SD card slot that supports up to 128GB external cards. TFT Screen is 4.3 inches supporting 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA) resolution.

This is a dual SIM handset with a weight of about 122 grams and 8.9mm thickness. A 2MP fixed focus camera is placed on the front and a 5MP auto focus camera on the rear. The rear camera is with LED flash support and it can shoot 720p videos at 30fps.

Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (b/g/n). This handset gets power from a 1850 mAh battery.

Samsung also announced the Samsung Galaxy Prime 4G and Galaxy Grand Prime 4G for the Indian markets. The Samsung Galaxy J1 will hit the stores soon, it will be initially available online for under Rs. 10K.
