To compete in the low budget segment, Samsung Mobiles have announced 4 new budget friendly smartphones that run Android KitKat out of the box and of course with TouchWiz Essence user interface. These handsets will hit the stores soon, the price details has not been revealed.

The Samsung Galaxy Young 2 comes with a smaller TFT screen of 3.5 inches with 480 x 320 pixels resolution. It is powered by 1.0 GHz single core processor with 512MB RAM, 4GB storage and 32GB external card support. This dual SIM handset also comes with 3MP FF rear camera and key features are 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Young 2 houses a 1300 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Star 2 also sports a 3.5 inch screen with 480 x 320 pixels resolution. It uses the Spreadtrum SC6815A 1GHz single core processor running KitKat with 512MB RAM, 4GB storage and external card support of up to 32GB. Additional features are 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The Star 2 comes loaded with a 1300 mAh battery. There are no front cameras on Star 2 and Young 2.

The Samsung Galaxy Core II is powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor that runs Android 4.4 over a 4.5 inch TFT screen with 800 x 480 pixels. It comes with 768MB RAM, 4GB storage and 64GB micro SD card support. The Core II also includes a 0.3MP front camera and 5MP AF rear camera with flash. Key features are 3G Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. This dual SIM handset comes with 2000 mAh battery.

Galaxy Ace 4 comes in two variants with 4G and without 4G support. Based on the model the chipset will also change. For 4G there is 1.2GHz dual core processor and for 3G variant there is 1GHz dual core processor. The battery is also different – 1800 mAh on 4G model and 1500 mAh on 3G model.

The screen is 4 inches with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. There are dual cameras – 5MP on rear and 0.3MP on the front. Common features are Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS and Bluetooth.

The pricing details of all these Samsung models have not yet been disclosed.
