Bilkul sahi kiya aapne. Redmi 5 me hybrid slot to nahi hona tha, yafir battery 4000 mAh hona chahiye tha, yafir base model 7499 ka hona chahiye tha, yafir SBI offer na dekar sare models 500 saste hone chahiye the.

The backside of this phone is little bit flatter than the ugly curvy back design of redmi note 5, definitely it looks better than the redmi note 5, only thing is its hybrid sim, other than its good, people comparing with infinix hot s3 is a joke, at least redmi phones have better re-sale value.

I bought infinix note 4 7months earlier at 8150 during instant cashback offer and sold few days back (5,6 days back) at 7800. And believe me except the sound quality in earphones I loved every aspect of the phone even more tha redmi note 4. I’m not a gamer but I’m a multi tasker and obviously multi tasking was pleasure on infinix note 4. Right now I’m commenting from my secondary phone which is redmi note 4. So how’s the resale value of infinix?

If you have SBI Credit Card than definitely go for 32gb model which will cost 8549 only after 5% instant discount. Those people who are complaining are Oppo Vivo Gionee users which have wasted their money in so called selfie expert moonlight selfie selfistan etc etc. I know Xiaomi since 2014 as I bought reddmi1s in 2014. Used it for 2 years and somebody at night snatched it from my hands while I was walking.

People who are complaining are not only Oppo and Vivo customers many of them are MI fans. Actually SBI offer given by Xiaomi is not good. Instead of giving SBI cashback offer should have priced 500 less since everyone doesn’t have the SBI credit card.

I think its a good package, do mind that this snap 450 is a 14nm chipset that is 25% more battery efficient than the older 430 which was a 28 nm chipset .. so at the end Redmi 5 will also give the same backup as the redmi 4 . Price is justified as redmi 5 sports a bigger 18:9 display and has a better chipset than the older generation Redmi 4. The only thing that bugs me is the hybrid sim slots , i own a redmi 4 and thats the only thing that i hate most.

For me hybrid slot makes no difference as I use 2 phones with separate Sims at same time.

10400 battery, 5 day backup, fastest charge tech, etc. Hope you are in your senses.

I agree 2 GB RAM and asking 8k is lame plus shows Xiaomi now has taken our market for granted but use some decent language to post your opinion.

Wow, SD450 and under 10k launch is completely ignored. Sticking to a hybrid slot is a downer though.

Well said a hutyapa of compact power house has come. Shameless people didn’t even hesitate to say compact power house for 3300mAh battery. Infinix is going to be the next no. 1 in India. Compare this redmi 5 with Infinix hot s3. Arre sd 450 lekar kaddu kaatna hai kya? Only plus point of redmi 5 is sd 450.

Guys this phone has latest Snapdragon 450 Octacore processor made on 14 nano meter technology. This is almost equal to 625. This processor is very power efficient and will consume less battery. 32 gb variant is the best option to buy.

Yes, but 32gb is not enough, hybrid slot is a deal breaker for many. And 3300mAh battery is very less for huge display compared to redmi 4’s 4100mAh.

I’m not trolling you just putting the fact in front of you. Battery has been reduced is the well known fact. How can you deny it? You said people are ranting about the reduced battery size which is true and people are really disappointed to have a lesser battery on a bigger display. Think why people should not criticize the battery? They should.

Gogi… I personally feel that it is an utter nonsense back design from Xiaomi. Still using plastic top and bottom?

The same back design has made Redmi Note 5 Pro look like a crap design, inspite of superior specs.

And same again with Redmi 5… Come on Xiaomi…

I personally feel Xiaomi should have gone with Mi A1’s back design implementation for all the three new smartphones namely RN5, RN5 Pro and Redmi 5, which feels and looks better and more premium and very close to metal unibody design.

SD 450 is almost 90 percent same as SD 625 in performance and larger 5.7 inch screen is great. the base 2GB Ram will become laggy after updating to newer ROM.

For the first time almost everyone is criticizing Xiaomi and its pricing. I had mentioned earlier that 6999 would be great and 7499 will be okay but they made it 7999. But even then didn’t give 4000 battery and dedicated micro sd slot…!!!
