The A28 looks really premium. It has got a rectangular dial with a stainless steel body and genuine leather straps. Weight is 49 grams and thickness is 13.12mm. This watch is available in silver and gold color options.

There is power / menu button on the right side. This watch also comes with built in Microphone and Loudspeaker, plus a heart rate sensor on the rear.

A28 sports a 1.5 inch IPS screen supporting 240 x 240 pixels resolution. Display look good, viewing angles are good and so is the touch response. The screen is in line with the frame, that makes it easier to operate and possible to touch the screen even on the edges.

The A28 is water resistant.

Performance
The Oukiel A28 is using MediaTek MTK2502 chipset and using Bluetooth 4.0. It is Java based loaded with 128MB RAM and 32MB ROM and compatible with Android 4.4 & above and iOS 7.0 & above.

Performance is smooth, I did not find it lagging. There is built in pedometer, sleep monitor and heart rate sensor along with other features like dialer, contacts, theme, sound recorder, remote capture etc.

There is no built in camera on this watch. You can receive notification, can make and receive calls using the built in mic and loudspeaker, however the sound output is not that loud but audible in silent environments.

Oukitel A28 smartwatch charging point

You can choose from the few available watch faces but there is no option to download new faces. You can use the QR code (on the watch – check video) to download the app on your smartphone that will communicate with the Smartwatch.

You need to manually enable pedometer tracking, sleep monitor etc. The data is stored on the watch and not on the smartphone.

Battery
There is 250 mAh built in battery. Use the charging dock to charge the Smartwatch – it takes less than 2 hours to fully charge.

Battery backup is also not that great but it can last for up to 24 hours with minimal usage (shut off notifications for emails / other apps that you might get every now and then).

Verdict
This is a premium looking Smartwatch, however it is Java based and cannot be really compared with smartwatches running Android Wear, but still not a bad option for $56.99.

Oukitel A28 smartwatch is available for $56.99.
