OnePlus has indeed maintained the Flagship killer reputation, they never failed to impress, never settled. The OnePlus 6 is the latest offering, looks awesome with the Notch style display and is power packed too. So should you Settle for this one? find out.

This OnePlus 6 is a mid premium smartphone that comes with a decent price tag. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa core processor and using dual camera setup on the back. The OP6 looks great, feels great and gives you a different immersive experience, thanks to the 19:9 aspect ratio screen with Notch.

I have been using the handset for few days, loved the feel and hold, the 6.28″ screen looks big, but really does not take the extra space, i.e. OP6 is comfortable to hold and use. I got the Mirror Black for review, though it looks awesome it is kind of slippery.

Camera is excellent and does capture amazing shots, do check the OnePlus 6 Review in details below.

OnePlus 6 Gaming Review

Powerful hardware, looking at the Benchmark score it can take anything. I played Asphalt 8 and it was great, the next game I played was PUBG, now this game needs a good net connection and it automatically set the graphic to high.

The only issue when playing high end game is when your palm begins to sweat, that has an impact on the screen touch, pretty normal though just wipe the palm and the screen with tissue paper.

OnePlus 6 Camera  Review

Rear Camera : 16MP (SONY IMX 519) + 20MP (SONY IMX 376K), both with f/1.7 aperture and supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization)
Front Camera : 16MP does not support Bokeh mode for now may get via OTA update, f/2.0, fixed focus
Video Recording : 4K @ 60fps, FHD slow motion at 240fps and 720p slow motion at 480fps.

OnePlus 6 dual cameras on the back

Camera quality is excellent. The portrait mode does a really good job, just about perfect, edge detection is great, natural colors and the bokeh effects are not over done. Plus when using Bokeh mode there are 3 options – circle, heart and star you can use these to create that kind of bokeh in the background – works great in certain situations.

Front camera is also impressive, however there is no bokeh mode for now, may be the company might add this feature via OTA update, pretty soon. OP6 can shoot 4K videos at 60fps and slow motion videos too.

Do check the video samples in the video review (in Hindi).

Camera Rating : 4.7 out of 5

Other features

Sound quality is pretty good, loud and clear. Call quality is also pretty good. Dual VoLTE is supported that is an added advantage. Finger print sensor on the back is dam fast  and accurate and so is the face unlock, almost instant.

There is Ambient display feature that you can use to auto show up the time, date, battery levels and other details when you simply pick up the phone.

OnePlus 6  Battery Review

Battery capacity : 3300 mAh (Non-removable)
Charging Time : about 1 hours 20 minutes or so  using the charger provided (5V/4A)
Battery Life : 4 to 7 hours non-stop (moderate to heavy) – via my standard testing procedure that I follow on every handset.
Daily usage battery life : One day battery life, or little more depending on your usage

OP6 Battery Test Results

Battery Temp at idle : 27 degrees
Running Benchmark app :
 13 minutes / 5% / 36 degrees
Asphalt 8  game play : 13 minutes / 3% / 34 degrees
4K video playback with full brightness (WiFi /4G on) :  18 minutes / 4% / 36 degrees

Verdict

So this is the OnePlus 6 review, pretty impressive, you might want to settle with this one. Looks good, feels good, powerful hardware, decent battery, amazing fast dash charge that can give a full day battery juice with just 30 minutes of charge.

There are people who complain about no support for wireless charging, the same people would have complained about slow wireless charging (compared to Dash) had OnePlus added wireless charging, that is the reason why wireless charging was not added.
