Nokia today revealed their next android (Nokia X platform) based handset the Nokia X2 that comes with a good build quality and with enhanced performance. Look wise the X2 has adapted the same design with some minor changes (semi-transparent outer layer).

The X2 houses the qualcomm snapdragon processor (dual core MSM8210 cortex A7) clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 305 GPU and runs the Nokia X platform over a bigger screen of 4.3 inches with clear black display supporting resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA). This handset also supports dual SIM and comes with 5MP auto focus camera placed on the rear with LED flash. There is a front camera of VGA resolution that works with Skype video calls.

There are HERE Maps for navigation and additional features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi (hotspot, b/g/n), GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. The X2 comes loaded with 1GB RAM, 4GB storage and 32GB micro SD card support.

A home button that has been added on the Nokia X2 along with the back button. The X2 comes with a slightly higher capacity battery (1800 mAh) as compared with the Nokia X.

Dual core Nokia X2 launched for €99

Another highlight is Fastlane that makes it easier to navigate, you can see apps that are currently in use, check events, tasks etc with a single tap. There is another navigation option called ‘apps list’ that provides the same experience as on the Lumia handset.

The Nokia X2 is priced at €99 (approx Rs. 8,000) (Taxes extra) and will be available in different colours. No word about its launch in India.
